The Act of Will Study Guide Course is live!

The Act of Will Study Guide

The first edition of the self-paced ‘study guide’ course for Assagioli’s The Act of Will is now live!

You have 2 options for taking the course:

  1. Online course with active quizzes (recommended)
  2. Google Docs version that you download as PDF, epub, or other formats.

Material Includes

  • Chapter-by-chapter study lessons (summary + key ideas).
  • Reflection prompts for each chapter.
  • Optional practice exercises to apply the Six Stages to a goal you choose.
  • Recommended reading guidance (where to focus if you’re short on time).

Requirements

  • You should have access to a copy of Roberto Assagioli’s The Act of Will (recommended for best results):
    • borrow The Act of Will from a library.
    • purchase a copy from Amazon.com or other book retailers.
  • Use a notebook/journal or digital notes tool for reflections and exercises.
  • Plan to do the exercises on a real, current goal (small is fine).
  • This is a self-paced study guide: regular short sessions work better than occasional long sessions.

Thank you to all of your who expressed interest. After a couple of rounds of drafts, I’m happy with the first version of the course. I recommend the online course, as it is interactive with quizzes (optional, but helpful for learning) and Q&A sections. However, the printable versions (Google Docs, but can be downloaded as PDF, epub, Word, etc) will be useful for anyone wanting to be offline.

I’ve released the course as Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (public domain), so you use, modify, and redistribute in any way you like.

It’s been a good ‘will project’ / ‘act of will’ for me, and I will continue to dig deeper into the concepts. Expect to see more in the near future…

I wish you all a growthful journey if you choose to read or re-read The Act of Will (or if you set that aside and choose something our in the meantime!).
